'I don't know who you are, Rhiannon Lowe', or so said Rich Collins. Ducky, could you read the label, please?

Yeh, sure. "I've made drawings and installations, done a few performances - talks really, but with noise, sound, a bass guitar that I kicked a bit. I sang a little on some, and on sound pieces I've made. Worked for a magazine called CCQ for a few years before it went under. I was exhibitions officer in mid Wales, a curator's bitch in Cardiff, managed artists on residencies in the north, and got up to my neck in trouble with Wales at Venice a while back. I did an MA in museum studies, painting and drawing before that in Lancaster. I've worked in Scarborough, Hull, Sheffield, and curated a show in Carlow, and online on axisweb."

Thanks, what about below that, I can see there's small print.

"Loves a job in a charity shop."

Nice. Oh wait, is there more?

Just says: "Cekca het"

Exhibition at Arcadecardiff, Cardiff, called John Cale made me a Woman. The show was inspired by a first meeting with Cale, when working for Wales at Venice. He treated me like a chauffeur, until he realised that I was in charge. Well, not really. The show had two parts, a more open space with drawings and clothing, and a second anti-room which was made into a shrine/grotto.

Embroidery skill was done by Liz Taylor, not that one, but the one. Clothing printing was done by Shaun James; the painting of Cale on the shrine mirror was by Richard Higlett, who also sourced some Cale background singalong tunes. There were some zine/artist books; and an evening of John Cale covers by local musicians, held in a nearby bar, Artigiano. Thanks. Pics shown here taken by Ric Bower.

Howler was a project run at g39, Cardiff as part of their Unit(e) programme. It was a temporary domestic exhibition space, that changed in form over the four summer months it inhabited part of the cavernous gallery. Artists were invited to send work and be part of a group showing. The work was displayed within domestic set ups, giving them a chance to be seen in a homely setting - colourful walls, wallpaper, shelving, lights, rugs, occasional tables. The openings of each showing were run as 'back to mine' events, drinks served, vinyl on the turntable. It was a simple proposition, and one that might make it into the wider world at some point.

Artists included: Steve Aylin, Mair Hughs, Paul McDevitt, Shaun James, Carlota Nobrega, Philippa Brown, Nic Finch, Lucy Furr, Chris Blackburn, Ellie Young, Bronwen James, Hannah M Morris, Jon Ratigan, Jude Lau, Julia Hopkins, Sarah Roberts, George Manson, Emma Price

I worked on CCQ magazine, a brilliant, beautiful print publication based out of a little office at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff, for four years. I was assistant editing, design and layout, interviewing, admining, all sorts for issues 4-15, with Ric Bower and Emma Geliot. The mag came to an end in mid 2018, RIP. Below are some of the articles I had a hand in. Thanks to all the artists who we worked with. Link to CCQ now only available online.
